Captain Jeff Duck Hunting Guide

North Carolina Duck Hunting Guide

When you’re looking for best duck hunting guide service in North Carolina, contact Salt & Swamp Guide Service. Often considered the Waterfowl Capital of the Eastern Atlantic, North Carolina has some of the finest duck hunting available. Pamlico Sound, located between mainland North Carolina and the Outer Banks (OBX), is a major destination for many waterfowl, including mallards, pintails, gadwall, bluebills, wigeon, ringnecks, buffleheads, black ducks, hooded mergansers, and more.

For our duck hunts, we start in the dark and begin hunting 30 minutes before sunrise. We hunt until we reach the state-mandated bag limits or until the allotted time elapses. If the hunting is good and birds are still flying, we may opt to stay out longer and fill our bag limits past the allotted time (additional fees may apply). Sometimes with good shooters, bag limits are reached pre-maturely of the allotted time and may reduce the time of the waterfowl hunting charter.

Contact Salt & Swamp Guide Service for your next chartered duck hunt. High winds and thunderstorms can change hunting plans. Hunters must be fully licensed in the state of NC and have a Federal Duck Stamp. For more information about the Federal Duck Stamp, please visit the NCWRC website.
